Tina has spent the majority of her life in the Annapolis Valley and considers it home, leaving briefly to complete her nursing degree at St Francis Xavier University before returning in 2005. She began her nursing work with children during nursing school through camp nursing, both in NS and Ontario. She has continued to work with youth through a variety of settings, most recently in primary care where she works in a collaborative practice. She continues to do camp nursing, spending a week each summer at Brigadoon Village during Camp Solace, where she supports campers who have experienced familial loss or caregiver mental illness.
She uses her nursing background in her volunteer work with The Booker School in Port Williams, where her 2 children attend, helping to deliver the health curriculum with the teaching team. Tina enjoys spending time in nature with her husband Mark, 2 children Cohen and Lola and her dog, LeRoi. She is becoming an avid crocheter, and enjoys cooking and baking.
