The new Provincial School Code of Conduct has dropped, freshly dated April, 2025.
When we heard the news, we quickly downloaded, read/skimmed, and started to draft a response to this NEW code of conduct.
But, then we took a pause.
We’ve been helping organizations write policies and procedures to keep kids safe, including codes of conduct, since 2020.
We’ve been training adults to protect kids since 2011.
We already know what we know 😊
So instead, we’re reaching out to our network to ask you, what do YOU think of the new Provincial School Code of Conduct?
We will write a review in the coming weeks, but we’d really like to take this opportunity to hear from you.
We’ve drafted a Google form and asked a few questions that won’t take much time to answer (unless you are an over-thinker as so many of us are!).
The final questions are prompts and give you space to say whatever you want to say about the Provincial School Code of Conduct.
We want to hear from you because you are in our network of safe adults who care about protecting children from sexual abuse.
This is an interesting opportunity for those of us who are allies for children to review this document through a child-protective lens.
Your responses are anonymous and may be referred to when we publish our review of the code of conduct.
